Path

Raw clay, wooden platform. 2017.

Path was made by a group of people working collaboratively to tread footprints into raw clay on a tilted, ovoid platform. The shape of this platform was designed to control the choreography of movement and relate to the installation of Vestiges directly across the gallery. As one trod Path, they would repeatedly see the fired clay footprints of Vestiges, and potentially draw connections between the yielding wet clay and the rigid prints across from them.
